• Standard (non-translated) captions are generated using your browser's built-in speech recognition feature, which is handled by your browser, not by us. That audio/text is never sent to our servers.
• When translation is enabled, the translated text and the source text it was generated from.

We use the collected information for:

• Providing authentication and account access.
• Generating translations when translation is enabled, and billing.
• Improving our services through usage analytics.
• Ensuring security and compliance.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the extension: Google (sign-in, storage, and translation), your browser provider (speech recognition, handled directly between your browser and its provider, not through us), Stripe (payment processing), and Sentry (error monitoring).

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

6. Your Choices

You may request access to or deletion of the data we store at any time by contacting us. Deletion applies only to data we hold directly (such as your account and usage history); it does not extend to data held by third-party providers (see Section 4), which is subject to their own retention practices. We retain payment history and do not delete it, as it is required for accounting purposes. Deletion of usage history is also subject to the terms in our Terms of Service.
